"Kartepe Summit and Urbanization Fair 2022", an international event, will be held face-to-face in Kocaeli between 24-27 March 2022 with the important contributions of Istanbul Civilization University. Prof. Dr. Hamza ATEŞ, one of our faculty members of the Faculty of Political Sciences, chairs the organizing committee of the summit where our Rector Prof. Dr. Gülfettin Celik is on the honorary board.
Kartepe Summit aims to bring scientific, academic, intellectual and political parties together in terms of discussing the issues regarding humanity to a large extent. This grand meeting, which carries on with such a vision, will bring together international bodies and experts from all over the world in conferences, case critique sessions, panels, academic sessions and activities in 2022. In this regard, Kartepe Summit 2022, in which UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030 list will be addressed, aims to highlight the concept of “robust cities” from an interdisciplinary viewpoint. The Academic Sessions of Kartepe Summit 2022, which focuses on all aspects of the city as a phenomenon in spatial and social terms, calls for papers from any scientific discipline that could contribute to literature and practice in this context. Attendance to the Summit is free. The accommodation and travel expenses of attendees, whose papers are accepted for presentation, will be covered by the Summit Committee. Papers will be available in Turkish and English. Academic papers presented at the summit will be published in the journals included in the SSCI index.
