The graduation ceremony of our students who graduated from the departments of Political Science and Public Administration, Economics, Business Administration and International Relations in the academic year of 2021-2022 at our faculty was held on June 20, 2022 at Aşık Pasha Conference Hall located in Block C of the Southern Campus of our university.
The graduation ceremony of our faculty started at 11:00 with a silence of respect and the reading of the National Anthem. Our students who graduated from the department of Political Science and Public Administration were invited to the hall by greeting their families in a cortege. After that, the Chamber Music Group of Istanbul University State Conservatory gave a music concert to our students and their families.
The graduation ceremony of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration began with the opening speeches of our Dean Prof. Dr. Hamdi GENÇ after the music performance. In his speech, the TEENAGER mentioned the quality of the education received by our students in terms of academic qualifications, even though the physical opportunities are limited. He wished well by stating that all of our graduates are now members of the Civilization family.Then Prof. Dr. Gülfettin ÇELIK, the Rector of Istanbul Medeniyet University and one of the faculty members of the Economics Department of our Faculty, who was invited to the stage, made nice wishes to our graduates by giving advice for the future in his speech.
The Faculty of Political Sciences first, second and Third students who finished; political science and Public Administration programs in Turkish and English first, second, and our students who finished third, Berat and were presented with their gifts. Then, all the faculty members of the SBKY department were invited to the stage and our graduated students were presented with their certificates respectively and a collective photo shoot was held. Our graduate students were invited to the grandstand located in front of Block C and the traditional cap throwing ceremony was held. The program ended after the treats given to our graduate students and their families in our university garden.
The graduation ceremony of Economics and Business departments started at 14:00 upon the invitation of the families to Aşık Pasha Conference Hall. Our graduate students took their places in the hall by performing a greeting walk upon invitation. After the speeches of our dean Prof. Dr. Hamdi GENÇ and our rector Prof. Dr. Gülfettin ÇELIK, the Head of the Economics Department Prof. Dr. Murat Taşdemir also gave future-oriented advice to our students. Our students who graduated from the Department of Economics as the first, second and third were invited to the stage and their gifts and certificates were given. Then, with the invitation of all the faculty members of the Department of Economics to the stage, the Economics Department graduates were presented with their certificates in turn and collective photographs were taken together with the department teachers.
The ceremony continued with the speech of the Head of the Department of Business Administration Prof. Dr. Adem Baltacı. Then, gifts and certificates were given to the students who graduated from the Department of Business Administration with the first, second and third place. After all the faculty members of the Department of Business Administration were invited to the stage, the graduates of the Department of Business Administration were presented with their certificates, respectively.
After the collective photo shoot with the department faculty members and department graduates, the second session of the graduation ceremony of our faculty ended with the ceremony of throwing caps in the tribune in front of Block C of our graduates of the Department of Economics and Business, followed by refreshments.
The graduation ceremony of the Department of International Relations started at 16:00 with the invitation of families to Aşık Pasha Conference Hall. Our department graduate students took their places in the hall by greeting their families accompanied by a cortege upon invitation. After the speeches of our dean Prof. Dr. Hamdi GENÇ and our rector Prof. Dr. Gülfettin ÇELIK, the Head of the International Department Prof. Dr. Özden Zeynep OKTAV also addressed the families and our students and expressed optimistic wishes for the future.
The students who finished the International Relations department with the first, second and third place were invited to the stage and their gifts and certificates were presented. After that, all the faculty members in the department were invited to the stage and our graduates were given their certificates respectively. The International Relations graduation ceremony also ended with a collective photo shoot and a cap throwing ceremony held in the C Block grandstand, accompanied by treats for our graduates and their families.
