A Panel Programme titled ‘The Palestine Problem with its Historical and International Law Dimensions’ was held with the participation of our Faculty and the Faculty of Islamic Sciences.
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Gülfettin ÇELİK, Dean of the Faculty of Political Sciences Prof. Dr. Hamdi GENÇ, Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin MAŞALI, our panelist professors; Prof. Dr. Özden Zeynep OKTAV, Prof. Dr. Berdal ARAL, Prof. Dr. Salih İNCİ, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Murat ÖZEL and our students attended the programme held in our Ziraat Bank Library.
The panel programme, which focused on the hot agenda in the world and in our country, started with the opening speeches of our Rector Prof. Dr. Gülfettin ÇELİK. In his speech, he stated that this panel, which brought us together with different disciplines after the agenda in Palestine, will make a very serious contribution to the Palestinian agenda, even if it is a small step, and said that it can be a hope for humanity in a process in which Istanbul Medeniyet University will be a pioneer.
After the opening speeches of our Rector Prof. Dr. Gülfettin ÇELİK, our panelist professors discussed the historical and legal dimensions of the Palestine problem, which is the bleeding wound of countries that keep human values above the interests of the country, especially the Islamic World, in the light of recent developments.
